I hung mine in a dryish spot on my shower wall, and it hasn’t moved since. The holder sticks to the wall with a little ball of what I think is essentially sticky tack, like that blue stuff they used to hang things in elementary school. 7/10īillie- This is one of my favorite parts of the kit. Essentially felt exactly the same as the first Billie cartridge, not quite as smooth as you expect brand new, not horrible either. I’m not a big fan of the design which you can see in my pictures. Giving this an 8/10.įlamingo- 5 blade razor, huge plastic head. Maybe they just need to work on quality control a bit more. My second cartridge though felt much better. My first cartridge didn’t feel great, not as smooth as you expect from a brand new blade. ![]() ![]() 10/10īillie- 5 blade razor, surrounded with an aloe gel like substance, this adds a nice glide to the shave. It also just looks nicer, in my opinion, than the Billie. The handle slides into the cartridge and clicks in rather than being held on with the little plastic arms which might last better over time. The handle has a much more substantial weight and a nice textured grip. 6/10įlamingo- I got the flamingo handle in Pomelo/Silver. That said it has a nice shape and felt easy to hold securely. It is very lightweight, it almost feels like a disposable razor and I can see the plastic arms that hold the cartridge possibly breaking eventually. Shipping is free if you spend over $10.īillie- I got the handle in Dreampop. It is not a subscription service, they will not auto ship your cartridge refills, you would go online and order them as needed. It includes your handle, two cartridges, a standard suction cup wall holder, a mini shaving cream, and a lotion. Cancel whenever you want.įlamingo starter kit is $16. Thereafter it is $9 for four cartridge refills, which you can choose to have sent to you monthly, every other month, or every three months, depending on how often you shave. Billie is their own company, currently only offering products geared towards women.īillie’s starter kit is $9, it includes your razor handle, two cartridges, and a magnetic wall holder. Flamingo is actually the sister company to Harry’s. They claim to be getting rid of the “pink tax” aka the higher price of women’s razors just because they look pretty. If you haven’t heard of these razor services, they are the new thing being marketed to women similar to Dollar Shave Club or Harry’s for men. I also do not have overly coarse hair, pretty average I think. Also, I do not have overly sensitive skin, though I occasionally get some red bumps, usually only when my blade has gotten too dull. I think they are both good, and tried to give an honest review of the differences between the two since I ordered both. Also, I’m on mobile so sorry for any wonky formatting.ĭisclaimer: these are just my opinions, I have read hundreds of comments on social media from people who like and dislike both of these brands. I searched reddit and didn’t find any recent posts about this, but if this is repetitive overkill please let me know and I’ll remove my post. Hi there r/beauty, I recently tried both of these razors and wanted to share my reviews of them both with you all, in case anyone else has been debating trying them.
